Child Welfare Scholars Application Criteria
Students who are accepted or enrolled in the Social Work programs of the participating colleges / universities are eligible to apply for this program. Applicants must meet these additional criteria: - Express commitment to the field of public child welfare and agree to the obligations of employment, as defined in the student contract;
- If currently employed by CFS, be continuously employed for one year;
- Provide acceptable professional references, and, for CFS employees, supervisor's and manager's approval;
- Submit complete stipend application (Note: Application deadlines vary between participating colleges / universities. Contact the Faculty Field Coordinator for information about individual college / university requirements.);
- Participate in practicum screening interview(s) with CFS staff;
- Pass an employment background inquiry (including fingerprint check).
