First Annual Child Welfare Conference

 

FIRST ANNUAL CHILD WELFARE CONFERENCE

The First Annual Child Welfare Conference will focus on advancing child welfare practice in Idaho in the areas of safety, permanency, and well being, and improving outcomes for youth and families through the application of family centered practice.  It will support and energize child welfare staff through recognition of strengths in our workforce, sharing successes, addressing challenges and providing support. 

Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and Partnership staff will gather to learn, share successes through practices and focus on solutions for families.

ATTENDEES:
REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT WILL OPEN BEGINNING ON MONDAY, JULY 7, 2008.

Anyone planning to attend Conference I & II must register twice - once for each event.






Conference Objectives:

1.  Increased understanding of using evidence based practices to improve outcomes for children and families in the safety, permanency and well being.

2.  Increased ability to apply Family Centered Practice principles to safety, permanency and well being of children.

3.  Increased understanding of the parallel process of using FCP core principles with both families and staff to improve outcomes for children and families.

4.  Increased enthusiasm and motivation to do social welfare work.
